By bringing it to the ground, they have (M)defiled the dwelling place of Your name.
They (N)said in their heart, “Let us [c]completely [d]subdue them.”
They have burned all the meeting places of God in the land.

    with their axes and hatchets.
They burned your sanctuary to the ground;
    they defiled(L) the dwelling place(M) of your Name.(N)
They said in their hearts, “We will crush(O) them completely!”
    They burned(P) every place where God was worshiped in the land.
