⁴ Then the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest and ^(A)the priests of the second order and the ^[a]doorkeepers, ^(B)to bring out of the temple of Yahweh all the vessels that were made for Baal, for ^[b]Asherah, and for all the host of heaven; and ^(C)he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel. ⁵ And he did away with the idolatrous priests whom the kings of Judah had appointed and who burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah and in the surrounding area of Jerusalem, as well as those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun and to the moon and to the constellations and to all the ^(D)host of heaven.

¹¹ So as I live,’ declares Lord Yahweh, ‘surely, because you have ^(A)defiled My sanctuary with all your ^(B)detestable idols and with all your abominations, therefore I will also withdraw, and My eye will have no pity, and I will not spare.

⁹ And He said to me, “Go in and see the evil abominations that they are doing here.”

¹⁷ He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? Is it too light a thing for the house of Judah to do the abominations which they have done here, that they have ^(A)filled the land with violence and ^(B)provoked Me to anger still more? For behold, they are sending forth the twig to their nose.
