10 (A)He also defiled [a]Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, (B)that no man might make his son or his daughter pass through the fire for (C)Molech. 11 He did away with the horses which the kings of Judah had given to the (D)sun, at the entrance of the house of the Lord, by the chamber of Nathan-melech the official, which was in the precincts; and he burned the chariots of the sun with fire. 12 (E)The altars which were on the roof, the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and (F)the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the Lord, the king broke down; and he [b]smashed them there and (G)threw their dust into the brook Kidron.

They were in the court[a] near the room of an official named Nathan-Melek. Josiah then burned the chariots dedicated to the sun.(E)

12 He pulled down(F) the altars the kings of Judah had erected on the roof(G) near the upper room of Ahaz, and the altars Manasseh had built in the two courts(H) of the temple of the Lord. He removed them from there, smashed them to pieces and threw the rubble into the Kidron Valley.(I)
