¹² And Elisha was seeing this and he was crying out, “^(A)My father, my father, the ^[a]chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” And he saw ^[b]Elijah no more. Then ^(B)he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.

^13 (A)Then his servants approached and spoke to him and said, “^(B)My father, had the prophet spoken with you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?”

⁹ So Hazael went to meet him and took a present in his hand, even every kind of good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ loads; and he came and stood before him and said, “^(A)Your son Ben-hadad king of Aram has sent me to you, saying, ‘Will I be restored to life from this sickness?’”
