2 Kings 17:4-6
New King James Version
4 And the king of Assyria uncovered a conspiracy by Hoshea; for he had sent messengers to So, king of Egypt, and brought no tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year. Therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.
Israel Carried Captive to Assyria(A)
5 Now (B)the king of Assyria went throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria and besieged it for three years. 6 (C)In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria took Samaria and (D)carried Israel away to Assyria, (E)and placed them in Halah and by the Habor, the River of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

New International Version
4 But the king of Assyria discovered that Hoshea was a traitor, for he had sent envoys to So[a] king of Egypt,(A) and he no longer paid tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year. Therefore Shalmaneser seized him and put him in prison.(B) 5 The king of Assyria invaded the entire land, marched against Samaria and laid siege(C) to it for three years. 6 In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria(D) captured Samaria(E) and deported(F) the Israelites to Assyria. He settled them in Halah, in Gozan(G) on the Habor River and in the towns of the Medes.
