25 Then his officer, Pekah(A) son of Remaliah, conspired against him(B) and struck him down in Samaria at the citadel of the king’s palace(C) —as well as Argob and Arieh.[a] There were 50 Gileadite men with Pekah. He killed Pekahiah and became king in his place.

25 One of his chief officers, Pekah(A) son of Remaliah, conspired against him. Taking fifty men of Gilead with him, he assassinated(B) Pekahiah, along with Argob and Arieh, in the citadel of the royal palace at Samaria. So Pekah killed Pekahiah and succeeded him as king.
