And Jehoahaz besought the Lord, and the Lord heard him: for he saw the trouble of Israel, wherewith the king of Aram troubled them.

(And the Lord gave Israel a [a]deliverer, so that they came out from under the subjection of the Aramites. And the children of Israel [b]dwelt in their tents as [c]beforetime.

Nevertheless, they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam which made Israel sin, but walked in them, even the [d]grove also remained still in Samaria)

But they did not turn away from the sins(E) of the house of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit; they continued in them. Also, the Asherah pole[a](F) remained standing in Samaria.
