²³ But ^(A)Yahweh was gracious to them and ^(B)had compassion on them and turned to them because of ^(C)His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not bring them to ruin or cast them from His presence until now.

²⁰ For ^(A)through the anger of Yahweh this came about in Jerusalem and Judah until He cast them out from His presence. And ^(B)Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
