20 And (A)his servants rose up and formed a conspiracy; and they (B)struck and killed Joash at (C)the house of Millo as he was going down to Silla. 21 For Jozacar the son of Shimeath and Jehozabad the son of (D)Shomer, his servants, struck him and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and his son (E)Amaziah became king in his place.

20 His officials(A) conspired against him and assassinated(B) him at Beth Millo,(C) on the road down to Silla. 21 The officials who murdered him were Jozabad son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer. He died and was buried with his ancestors in the City of David. And Amaziah his son succeeded him as king.
