Jehoash (Joash) Reigns over Judah

12 In the seventh year of Jehu, [b](B)Jehoash became king, and he reigned for forty years in Jerusalem; and his mother’s name was Zibiah of Beersheba. Jehoash did what was right in the sight of the Lord all his days that Jehoiada the priest instructed him. Only (C)the high places did not end; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.

His mother’s name was Zibiah, who was from Beer-sheba.(C) Throughout the time Jehoiada(D) the priest instructed(E) him, Joash did what was right in the Lord’s sight.(F) Yet the high places were not taken away; the people continued sacrificing and burning incense on the high places.(G)

Joash Repairs the Temple(A)

12 [c]In the seventh year of Jehu, Joash[d](B) became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem forty years. His mother’s name was Zibiah; she was from Beersheba. Joash did what was right(C) in the eyes of the Lord all the years Jehoiada the priest instructed him. The high places,(D) however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there.
