⁹ So I will make the house of Ahab like the house of ^(A)Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of ^(B)Baasha the son of Ahijah.

²⁹ And it was so, when he became king, that he killed all the house of Jeroboam. He did not leave to Jeroboam anyone that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according to ^(A)the word of the Lord which He had spoken by His servant Ahijah the Shilonite,

²² I will make your house like the house of ^(A)Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of ^(B)Baasha the son of Ahijah, because of the provocation with which you have provoked Me to anger, and made Israel sin.’

¹¹ Then it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he was seated on his throne, that he killed all the household of Baasha; he ^(A)did not leave him one male, neither of his relatives nor of his friends. ¹² Thus Zimri destroyed all the household of Baasha, ^(B)according to the word of the Lord, which He spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,

³ surely I will ^(A)take^[a] away the posterity of Baasha and the posterity of his house, and I will make your house like ^(B)the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat. ⁴ The dogs shall eat ^(C)whoever belongs to Baasha and dies in the city, and the birds of the air shall eat whoever dies in the fields.”

⁵ Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, what he did, and his might, ^(D)are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
