²for He says,

“^(A)At a favorable time I listened to you,
And on a day of salvation I helped you.”

Behold, now is “a favorable time,” behold, now is “a day of salvation”— ³^(B)giving no reason for taking offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited, ⁴but in everything ^(C)commending ourselves as ^[a]^(D)servants of God, ^(E)in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in difficulties, ⁵in ^(F)beatings, in imprisonments, in ^(G)^[b]mob attacks, in labors, in sleeplessness, in ^(H)hunger, ⁶in purity, in ^(I)knowledge, in ^(J)patience, in kindness, in the ^(K)Holy Spirit, in ^(L)genuine love, ⁷in ^(M)the word of truth, and in ^(N)the power of God; by ^(O)the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left, ⁸by glory and ^(P)dishonor, by ^(Q)evil report and good report; regarded as ^(R)deceivers and yet ^(S)true;

³We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path,^(B) so that our ministry will not be discredited. ⁴Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; ⁵in beatings, imprisonments^(C) and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger;^(D) ⁶in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit^(E) and in sincere love;^(F) ⁷in truthful speech^(G) and in the power of God;^(H) with weapons of righteousness^(I) in the right hand and in the left; ⁸through glory and dishonor,^(J) bad report^(K) and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors;^(L)
