²¹ For ^(A)He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become ^(B)the righteousness of God in Him.

³ For ^(A)I delivered to you first of all that ^(B)which I also received: that Christ died for our sins ^(C)according to the Scriptures,

²³ for ^(A)all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ being justified ^[a]freely ^(B)by His grace ^(C)through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

David Celebrates the Same Truth

⁵ But to him who ^(A)does not work but believes on Him who justifies ^(B)the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, ⁶ just as David also ^(C)describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:

²³ Now ^(A)it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, ²⁴ but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe ^(B)in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, ^25 (C)who was delivered up because of our offenses, and ^(D)was raised because of our justification.
