15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.

16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord,(A) the veil is taken away.(B) 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit,(C) and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.(D) 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a](E) the Lord’s glory,(F) are being transformed into his image(G) with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Present Weakness and Resurrection Life

Therefore, since through God’s mercy(H) we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.(I)

  1. 2 Corinthians 3:18 Or reflect

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
