But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?

But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning,(A) your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached,(B) or if you receive a different spirit(C) from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel(D) from the one you accepted, you put up with it(E) easily enough.

I do not think I am in the least inferior to those “super-apostles.”[a](F) I may indeed be untrained as a speaker,(G) but I do have knowledge.(H) We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way. Was it a sin(I) for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God(J) to you free of charge?(K)
