²⁰ For ^(A)all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our ^(B)Amen to God for his glory. ²¹ And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and ^(C)has anointed us, ²² and who has also ^(D)put his seal on us and ^(E)given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.^[a]

⁵ He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, ^(A)who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

¹³ In him you also, when you heard ^(A)the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, ^(B)were sealed with the ^(C)promised Holy Spirit, ¹⁴ who is ^(D)the guarantee^[a] of our ^(E)inheritance until ^(F)we acquire ^(G)possession of it,^{[b] (H)}to the praise of his glory.
