2 Chronicles 7:18-20
Living Bible
18 then I will see to it that you and your descendants will always be the kings of Israel; 19 but if you don’t follow me, if you refuse the laws I have given you and worship idols, 20 then I will destroy my people from this land of mine that I have given them, and this Temple shall be destroyed even though I have sanctified it for myself. Instead, I will make it a public horror and disgrace.

New International Version
18 I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted(A) with David your father when I said, ‘You shall never fail to have a successor(B) to rule over Israel.’(C)
19 “But if you[a] turn away(D) and forsake(E) the decrees and commands I have given you[b] and go off to serve other gods and worship them, 20 then I will uproot(F) Israel from my land,(G) which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule(H) among all peoples.
