13 Solomon had a bronze platform constructed five cubits[a] square and three cubits[b] high. He had it erected in the middle of the courtyard, and stood on it. Then he knelt down on his knees in front of the entire congregation of Israel, spread out his hands toward heaven, 14 and said:
“Lord God of Israel, there is no one like you, God of heaven and earth, who watches over[c] his covenant, showing gracious love to your servants who live their lives in your presence[d] with all their hearts. 15 It is you, Lord God,[e] who has kept your promise to my father, your servant David, that you made to him. Indeed, you made a commitment[f] to my father David and then personally fulfilled[g] what you had promised today.

13 Now he had made a bronze platform,(A) five cubits long, five cubits wide and three cubits high,[a] and had placed it in the center of the outer court. He stood on the platform and then knelt down(B) before the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven. 14 He said:
“Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you(C) in heaven or on earth—you who keep your covenant of love(D) with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way. 15 You have kept your promise to your servant David my father; with your mouth you have promised(E) and with your hand you have fulfilled it—as it is today.
