12 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord(A) his God and did not humble(B) himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke the word of the Lord.
12 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the Lord.
9 But now you have rejected(A) and humbled us;(B) you no longer go out with our armies.(C)
9 But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.
12 Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.(A)
12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.
11 The eyes of the arrogant(A) will be humbled(B) and human pride(C) brought low;(D)the Lord alone will be exalted(E) in that day.(F)
11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
10 To this day they have not humbled(A) themselves or shown reverence,(B) nor have they followed my law(C) and the decrees(D) I set before you and your ancestors.(E)
10 They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
