⁷ Didn’t you, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it to the offspring^[a] of Abraham your friend forever?

²³ So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,”Genesis 15:6 and he was called the friend of God.
