¹¹ So now my father loaded you with a heavy yoke, but I will add to your yoke; my father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with scorpions.’”

¹⁴ and he spoke to them according to the counsel of the young men, saying, “^[a]My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to it; my father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with scorpions.”

⁶ Now as for you, son of man, ^(A)do not fear them and do not fear their words, though ^(B)thistles and briers are with you and you sit on scorpions; neither fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, for they are a rebellious house.

³ Then out of the smoke came ^(A)locusts ^[a]upon the earth, and power was given them, as the ^(B)scorpions of the earth have power.

⁵ And ^[a]they were not permitted to kill ^[b]anyone, but to torment for ^(A)five months, and their torment was like the torment of a ^(B)scorpion when it ^[c]stings a man.
