⁸ Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on his throne^(A) as king to rule for the Lord your God. Because of the love of your God for Israel and his desire to uphold them forever, he has made you king^(B) over them, to maintain justice and righteousness.”

¹¹ Hiram king of Tyre replied by letter to Solomon:

The Kingdom of Righteousness

²³ So Solomon sat^(A) on the throne^(B) of the Lord as king in place of his father David. He prospered and all Israel obeyed him.

⁸ But it was because the Lord loved^(A) you and kept the oath he swore^(B) to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand^(C) and redeemed^(D) you from the land of slavery,^(E) from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

⁸ But about the Son he says,

¹² This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs^(A) of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.^{(B) 13} Because of the service^(C) by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God^(D) for the obedience that accompanies your confession^(E) of the gospel of Christ,^(F) and for your generosity^(G) in sharing with them and with everyone else. ¹⁴ And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God^(H) for his indescribable gift!^(I)
