9 The one who says that he is in the Light and yet (A)hates his (B)brother or sister is in the darkness until now. 10 (C)The one who loves his brother and sister remains in the Light, and there is nothing in him to cause stumbling. 11 But the one who (D)hates his brother or sister is in the darkness and (E)walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has (F)blinded his eyes.

9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister[a](A) is still in the darkness.(B) 10 Anyone who loves their brother and sister[b] lives in the light,(C) and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.(D) 11 But anyone who hates a brother or sister(E) is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness.(F) They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.(G)
