A Good Servant of Christ Jesus

(A)If you put these things before the brothers,[a] you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have (B)followed. Have nothing to do with irreverent, (C)silly myths. Rather (D)train yourself for godliness; for while (E)bodily training is of some value, godliness (F)is of value in every way, as (G)it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. A Good Minister’s Discipline

In pointing out these things to (A)the brothers and sisters, you will be a good (B)servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the (C)good doctrine which you (D)have been following. But [a]stay away from (E)worthless (F)stories that are typical of old women. Rather, [b]discipline yourself for the purpose of (G)godliness; for (H)bodily training is just slightly beneficial, but (I)godliness is beneficial for all things, since it (J)holds promise for the (K)present life and also for the life to come. (L)It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance. 10 For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have set (M)our hope on (N)the living God, who is (O)the Savior of all mankind, especially of believers.
