Timothy's Encouraging Report

But (A)now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us the good news of (B)your faith and love and reported (C)that you always remember us kindly and (D)long to see us, as we long to see you— for this reason, brothers,[a] in all our distress and affliction (E)we have been comforted about you through your faith. For now we live, if you (F)are standing fast in the Lord. For (G)what thanksgiving can we return to God for you, for all the joy that we feel for your sake before our God, 10 as we pray most earnestly (H)night and day (I)that we may see you face to face and (J)supply what is lacking in your faith?

Paul Rejoices about the Thessalonians

But Timothy has just now returned from visiting[a] you and has told us the good news about your faith and love. He also told us that you always have fond memories of us and want to see us, just as we want to see you. That’s why, brothers, in all our distress and persecution we have been encouraged about you by your faith. For now we can go on living, as long as you continue to stand firm in the Lord. How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy that we have in God’s presence because of you? 10 We pray very hard night and day that we may see you again face to face, so that we may equip you with[b] whatever is lacking in your faith.
