1 Thessalonians 4:3-8
English Standard Version
3 For this is the will of God, (A)your sanctification:[a] (B)that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each one of you know how to control his own (C)body[b] in holiness and (D)honor, 5 not in (E)the passion of lust (F)like the Gentiles (G)who do not know God; 6 that no one transgress and (H)wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is (I)an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. 7 For (J)God has not called us for (K)impurity, but in holiness. 8 Therefore (L)whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, (M)who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

New American Standard Bible
3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you (A)abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that (B)each of you know how to [a]possess his own [b](C)vessel in sanctification and (D)honor, 5 not in [c](E)lustful passion, like the Gentiles who (F)do not know God; 6 and that no one violate the rights and (G)take advantage of his brother or sister (H)in the matter, because (I)the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also (J)told you previously and solemnly warned you. 7 For (K)God has not called us for [d](L)impurity, but in sanctification. 8 Therefore, the one who rejects this is not rejecting man, but the God who (M)gives His Holy Spirit to you.

New International Version
3 It is God’s will(A) that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;(B) 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body[a](C) in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust(D) like the pagans,(E) who do not know God;(F) 6 and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister.[b](G) The Lord will punish(H) all those who commit such sins,(I) as we told you and warned you before. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.(J) 8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.(K)
