²² For ^(A)the Lord will not abandon His people ^(B)on account of His great name, because the Lord ^(C)has been pleased to make you a people for Himself.

²⁴ “Have you not observed what these people have asserted, saying, ‘The ^(A)two families which the Lord chose, He has ^(B)rejected them’? So they ^(C)despise My people as no longer being a nation ^[a]in their sight. ²⁵ This is what the Lord says: ‘If My ^(D)covenant for day and night does not continue, and I have ^(E)not established the ^[b]fixed patterns of heaven and earth, ²⁶ then I would ^(F)reject the ^[c]descendants of Jacob and David My servant, so as not to take from his ^[d]descendants ^(G)rulers over the ^[e]descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But I will ^(H)restore their fortunes and have ^(I)mercy on them.’”
