13 Mais Saül dit : On ne mettra personne à mort en un jour pareil, car aujourd’hui l’Eternel a délivré Israël.
14 Samuel ajouta : Venez et allons à Guilgal[a] pour y confirmer la royauté !
15 Tout le peuple se rendit à Guilgal, ils y établirent Saül pour roi devant l’Eternel et ils offrirent des sacrifices de communion devant l’Eternel. Ensuite Saül et tous les gens d’Israël se livrèrent là à de grandes réjouissances.

13 But Saul said, “No one will be put to death today,(A) for this day the Lord has rescued(B) Israel.”
14 Then Samuel said to the people, “Come, let us go to Gilgal(C) and there renew the kingship.(D)” 15 So all the people went to Gilgal(E) and made Saul king(F) in the presence of the Lord. There they sacrificed fellowship offerings before the Lord, and Saul and all the Israelites held a great celebration.
