Then (A)the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and (B)you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. And let it be, when these (C)signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for (D)God is with you. You shall go down before me (E)to Gilgal; and surely I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and make sacrifices of peace offerings. (F)Seven days you shall wait, till I come to you and show you what you should do.”

So it was, when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, that God [a]gave him another heart; and all those signs came to pass that day. 10 (G)When they came there to the hill, there was (H)a group of prophets to meet him; then the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. 11 And it happened, when all who knew him formerly saw that he indeed prophesied among the prophets, that the people said to one another, “What is this that has come upon the son of Kish? (I)Is Saul also among the prophets?” 12 Then a man from there answered and said, “But (J)who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb: “Is Saul also among the prophets?” 13 And when he had finished prophesying, he went to the high place.

The Spirit(A) of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed(B) into a different person. Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever(C) your hand(D) finds to do, for God is with(E) you.

“Go down ahead of me to Gilgal.(F) I will surely come down to you to sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, but you must wait seven(G) days until I come to you and tell you what you are to do.”

As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed(H) Saul’s heart, and all these signs(I) were fulfilled(J) that day. 10 When he and his servant arrived at Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; the Spirit(K) of God came powerfully upon him, and he joined in their prophesying.(L) 11 When all those who had formerly known him saw him prophesying with the prophets, they asked each other, “What is this(M) that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”(N)

12 A man who lived there answered, “And who is their father?” So it became a saying: “Is Saul also among the prophets?”(O) 13 After Saul stopped prophesying,(P) he went to the high place.
