¹² part of a cake of pressed figs and two cakes of raisins. He ate and was revived,^(A) for he had not eaten any food or drunk any water for three days and three nights.

¹³ David asked him, “Who do you belong to? Where do you come from?”

He said, “I am an Egyptian, the slave of an Amalekite.^(A) My master abandoned me when I became ill three days ago.

⁶³ “Sir,” they said, “we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’^(A)

⁶⁴ So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body^(A) and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first.”
