21 And[a] also, corresponding to this, baptism now saves you, not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, with angels and authorities and powers having been subjected to him.

21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you(A) also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience(B) toward God.[a] It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,(C) 22 who has gone into heaven(D) and is at God’s right hand(E)—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.(F)
