劝勉长老

5 我是基督受苦的见证人，将分享以后所显明的荣耀。我以长老的身份劝你们中间做长老的： ²务要牧养上帝托付给你们的羊群，按着上帝的旨意甘心乐意地照顾他们，不是出于勉强，不是为了谋利，而是出于热诚。 ³不要辖制托付给你们的羊群，而是要做群羊的榜样。 ⁴等到大牧长显现的时候，你们必得到永不衰残的荣耀冠冕。

⁵你们年轻的要顺服年长的，大家都要存谦卑的心彼此服侍。因为上帝阻挡骄傲的人，恩待谦卑的人。

Shepherd the Flock

5 The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a ^(A)witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the ^(B)glory that will be revealed: ²^(C)Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, ^(D)not by compulsion but ^[a]willingly, ^(E)not for dishonest gain but eagerly; ³nor as ^(F)being ^[b]lords over ^(G)those entrusted to you, but ^(H)being examples to the flock; ⁴and when ^(I)the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive ^(J)the crown of glory that does not fade away.

Submit to God, Resist the Devil

⁵Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, ^(K)all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for

^(L)“God resists the proud,
But ^(M)gives grace to the humble.”
