32 There was war between Asa and King Baasha of Israel throughout their reigns.(A)

33 In the third year of Judah’s King Asa, Baasha son of Ahijah became king over all Israel, and he reigned in Tirzah(B) twenty-four years. 34 He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight and walked in the ways of Jeroboam and the sin he had caused Israel to commit.(C)

32 Meanwhile, a state of war continued to exist between Asa and Baasha king of Israel, throughout their reigns.

Baasha Reigns over Israel

33 During the third year of the reign of[a] King Asa of Judah, Ahijah’s son Baasha became king over all of Israel. He reigned for 24 years at Tirzah. 34 He practiced what the Lord considered to be evil, living like Jeroboam did and leading Israel into sin.
