33 After this event Jeroboam did not return from his evil way, but (A)he returned and made priests of the high places from among [a]all the people; (B)any who delighted to be so, he ordained. So [b]they became priests of the high places. 34 [c](C)And this event became sin to the house of Jeroboam, (D)even to blot it out and destroy it from off the face of the earth.

Anyone who wanted the job he consecrated as a priest.[c] 34 This sin caused Jeroboam’s dynasty[d] to come to an end and to be destroyed from the face of the earth.
