1 Kings 13:33-34

33 After this event Jeroboam did not return from his evil way, but (A)he returned and made priests of the high places from among [a]all the people; (B)any who delighted to be so, he ordained. So [b]they became priests of the high places. 34 [c](C)And this event became sin to the house of Jeroboam, (D)even to blot it out and destroy it from off the face of the earth.

33 Even after this, Jeroboam did not turn from his evil way, but he continued to appoint all kinds of people as priests for the high places. He ordained anyone who wanted to be a priest for the high places. 34 This was the sin of the house of Jeroboam, which erased and exterminated it from the face of the earth.
