³⁹ Zadok the priest took the horn of oil^(A) from the sacred tent^(B) and anointed Solomon. Then they sounded the trumpet^(C) and all the people shouted,^(D) “Long live King Solomon!”

¹² Jehoiada brought out the king’s son and put the crown on him; he presented him with a copy of the covenant^(A) and proclaimed him king. They anointed^(B) him, and the people clapped their hands^(C) and shouted, “Long live the king!”^(D)

³⁰ Josiah’s servants brought his body in a chariot^(A) from Megiddo to Jerusalem and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and anointed him and made him king in place of his father.
