5 So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning(A) and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.
Elijah and the Widow at Zarephath
7 Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. 8 Then the word of the Lord came to him: 9 “Go at once to Zarephath(B) in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow(C) there to supply you with food.” 10 So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, “Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?”(D) 11 As she was going to get it, he called, “And bring me, please, a piece of bread.”
12 “As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil(E) in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.”
13 Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. 14 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain(F) on the land.’”
15 She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. 16 For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah.
17 Some time later the son of the woman who owned the house became ill. He grew worse and worse, and finally stopped breathing. 18 She said to Elijah, “What do you have against me, man of God? Did you come to remind me of my sin(G) and kill my son?”

5 So he went and did according unto the word of the Lord: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
6 And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.
7 And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
8 And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying,
9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
12 And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
14 For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.
15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.
17 And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.
18 And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?

5 於是以利亞去了，照著耶和華的話行了；他去住在約旦河東面的基立溪旁。 6 烏鴉早晨給他送餅和肉來，晚上也送餅和肉來，他也喝那溪裡的水。 7 過了一些日子，那溪就乾了，因為沒有雨下在地上。
麵和油用不盡的神蹟
8 耶和華的話又臨到以利亞說： 9 “你起來，往西頓的撒勒法去，住在那裡；我已經吩咐那裡的一個寡婦供養你。” 10 於是以利亞起來，往撒勒法去了；他來到城門口的時候，就看見一個寡婦在那裡撿柴；以利亞呼叫她，說：“請你用器皿取點水來給我！” 11 她去取水的時候，以利亞又叫她，說：“請你也給我拿點餅來！” 12 她說：“我指著永活的耶和華你的 神起誓，我沒有餅，缸裡只有一把麵粉，瓶裡只有一點油。你看我正在撿兩根柴，然後回去，為自己和兒子做餅，我們吃完了，就等死。” 13 以利亞對她說：“不要懼怕，照著你所說的去作吧，不過要先為我做一個小餅，拿出來給我，然後才為你自己和兒子做餅。 14 因為耶和華以色列的 神這樣說：‘缸裡的麵粉必不會用完，瓶裡的油決不會短缺，直等到耶和華降雨在地面上的日子。’” 15 她就去照著以利亞所說的作了。她和以利亞，以及她的家人，吃了許多日子。 16 缸裡的麵粉果然沒有用完，瓶裡的油也沒有短缺，正像耶和華藉著以利亞所說的話一樣。
使寡婦的兒子復活
17 這些事以後，那婦人，就是那個家庭的女主人的兒子病了。他的病情十分嚴重，以致呼吸都停止了。 18 於是婦人對以利亞說：“神人哪，我跟你有甚麼關係呢？你竟到我這裡來，使耶和華想起我的罪孽，殺死我的兒子。”
