9 我們若接受人的見證， 神的見證就更強而有力了，因為這是 神為他的兒子作的見證。 10 信 神的兒子的，就有這見證在他心裡；不信 神的，就是把 神當作說謊的，因為他不信 神為他兒子所作的見證。 11 這見證就是 神已經把永遠的生命賜給我們，這生命是在他兒子裡面的。 12 凡有 神兒子的，就有生命；沒有 神兒子的，就沒有生命。
要照 神的旨意祈求
13 我把這些事寫給你們信 神的兒子之名的人，是要你們知道自己有永生。 14 如果我們照著 神的旨意祈求，他必聽我們；這就是我們對 神所存的坦然無懼的心。

9 (A)If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God (B)that he has borne concerning his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God (C)has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God (D)has made him a liar, (E)because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us (F)eternal life, and (G)this life is in his Son. 12 (H)Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
That You May Know
13 I write (I)these things to you who (J)believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 And this is (K)the confidence that we have toward him, that (L)if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
