1 John 5:18-20
English Standard Version
18 We know that (A)everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but (B)he who was born of God (C)protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.
19 We know that we are from God, and (D)the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
20 And we know that the Son of God has come and (E)has given us understanding, so that we may know (F)him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and (G)eternal life.

18 We know that everyone born from God does not sin, but the ones born from God guard themselves,[a] and the evil one cannot touch them. 19 We know we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 20 We know that God’s Son has come and has given us understanding to know the one who is true. We are in the one who is true by being in his Son, Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
