1 John 3:4-6

4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; (A)sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that (B)he appeared in order to (C)take away sins, and (D)in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; (E)no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.

International Standard Version
4 Everyone who keeps living in sin also practices disobedience. In fact, sin is disobedience. 5 You know that the Messiah[a] was revealed to take away sins,[b] and there is not any sin in him. 6 No one who remains in union with him keeps on sinning. The one who keeps on sinning hasn’t seen him or known him.
