Who is he who overcomes the world, but (A)he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

The Certainty of God’s Witness

This is He who came (B)by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. (C)And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness [a]in heaven: the Father, (D)the Word, and the Holy Spirit; (E)and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: (F)the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.(A)

This is the one who came by water and blood(B)—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.(C) For there are three(D) that testify: the[a] Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. We accept human testimony,(E) but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God,(F) which he has given about his Son.
