1 Corinthians 8:9-13
English Standard Version
9 But take care (A)that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block (B)to the weak. 10 For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating[a] in an idol's temple, will he not be encouraged,[b] if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols? 11 And so by your knowledge this weak person is (C)destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. 12 Thus, sinning against your brothers[c] and (D)wounding their conscience when it is weak, (E)you sin against Christ. 13 Therefore, (F)if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.

9 But be careful that this right of yours in no way becomes a stumbling block(A) to the weak. 10 For if someone sees you, the one who has knowledge, dining in an idol’s temple, won’t his weak conscience be encouraged[a] to eat food offered to idols? 11 So the weak person, the brother or sister for whom Christ died,(B) is ruined[b](C) by your knowledge.(D) 12 Now when you sin like this against brothers and sisters and wound their weak conscience, you are sinning against Christ. 13 Therefore, if food causes my brother or sister to fall, I will never again eat meat,(E) so that I won’t cause my brother or sister to fall.
