1 Corinthians 4:9-13
New American Standard Bible
9 For I think, God has exhibited us, the apostles, last of all as men (A)condemned to death, because we (B)have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to mankind. 10 We are (C)fools on account of Christ, but (D)you are prudent in Christ! (E)We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are without honor! 11 Up to this present hour we are both (F)hungry and thirsty, and are poorly clothed and roughly treated and homeless; 12 and we labor, (G)working with our own hands; when we are (H)verbally abused, we bless; when we are (I)persecuted, we endure it; 13 when we are slandered, we [a]reply as friends; we have (J)become as the scum of the world, the dregs of all things, even until now.

1 Corinthians 4:9-13
Revised Standard Version
9 For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, like men sentenced to death; because we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute. 11 To the present hour we hunger and thirst, we are ill-clad and buffeted and homeless, 12 and we labor, working with our own hands. When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure; 13 when slandered, we try to conciliate; we have become, and are now, as the refuse of the world, the offscouring of all things.
