1 Corinthians 15:29-34
World English Bible
29 Or else what will they do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead aren’t raised at all, why then are they baptized for the dead? 30 Why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour? 31 I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 32 If I fought with animals at Ephesus for human purposes, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, then “let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”
1 Corinthians 15:29-34
New American Standard Bible
29 For otherwise, what will those do who are baptized [a]for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why then are they baptized [b]for them? 30 Why are we also (A)in danger every hour? 31 I affirm, brothers and sisters, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, that (B)I die daily. 32 If [c]from human motives I (C)fought with wild beasts at (D)Ephesus, what good is it to me? If the dead are not raised, (E)let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we die. 33 (F)Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” 34 (G)Sober up [d]morally and stop sinning, for some have (H)no knowledge of God. (I)I say this to your shame.
