33 for God is not a God of (A)confusion but of [a]peace, as in (B)all the churches of the (C)saints.
34 The women are to (D)keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak, but (E)are to subject themselves, just as (F)the Law also says. 35 But if they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in church. 36 [b]Was it from you that the word of God first went forth? Or has it arrived to you only?

As in all the churches of the saints,[a] 34 the[b] women are to keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak. Instead they are to be subordinate, as also the Law says. 35 If they desire to learn something, let them ask their own men[c] at home, because it is shameful for a woman to speak in the church. 36 Or are you the ones from whom the word of God has gone out? Or did it come to you alone?
