1 Corinthians 10:6-10

6 Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as (A)they did. 7 (B)Do not be idolaters (C)as some of them were; as it is written, (D)“The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.” 8 (E)We must not indulge in sexual immorality (F)as some of them did, and (G)twenty-three thousand fell in a single day. 9 We must not put Christ[a] to the test, (H)as some of them did and (I)were destroyed by serpents, 10 nor grumble, (J)as some of them did and (K)were destroyed by (L)the Destroyer.

6 Now these things became examples for us, so that we will not desire(A) evil things as they did.[a](B) 7 Don’t become idolaters(C) as some of them were; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and got up to play.[b](D)[c] 8 Let us not commit sexual immorality(E) as some of them did,[d] and in a single day 23,000 people fell dead.(F) 9 Let us not test Christ as some of them did[e] and were destroyed by snakes.(G) 10 Nor should we complain(H) as some of them did,[f](I) and were killed by the destroyer.[g](J)
