11 Now these things happened to them as an (A)example, and (B)they were written for our instruction, upon whom (C)the ends of the ages have arrived. 12 Therefore let him who (D)thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man, but (E)God is faithful, who will not allow you to be (F)tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

11 All[a] these things that were happening to them had meaning as examples, and they were written down to warn us, to whom the end of the ages has come.

12 So let him who thinks he stands be careful that he does not fall. 13 No testing has overtaken you except ordinary testing. But God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tested beyond your ability, but when he tests you, he will also bring about the outcome that you are able to bear it.
