1 Corinthians 9:8-11
Modern English Version
8 Do I say these things as a man? Or does the law not say the same thing also? 9 For it is written in the Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle the mouth of the ox while it treads out the grain.”[a] Is God concerned about oxen? 10 Or does He say it completely for our sake? For our sake, no doubt, this is written so that he who plows should plow in hope, and that he who threshes in hope should partake of his hope. 11 If we have sown for you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your material things?

1 Corinthians 9:8-11
Lexham English Bible
8 I am not saying these things according to a human perspective. Or does the law not also say these things? 9 For in the law of Moses it is written, “You must not muzzle an ox while it[a] is threshing.”[b] It is not about oxen God is concerned, is it?[c] 10 Or doubtless does he speak for our sake[d]? For it is written for our sake[e], because the one who plows ought to plow in hope and the one who threshes ought to do so in hope of a share. 11 If we have sown spiritual things among you, is it too great a thing if we reap material things from you?

8 Do I say this merely on human authority? Doesn’t the Law say the same thing? 9 For it is written in the Law of Moses: “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.”[a](A) Is it about oxen that God is concerned?(B) 10 Surely he says this for us, doesn’t he? Yes, this was written for us,(C) because whoever plows and threshes should be able to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest.(D) 11 If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?(E)
