6 当然我们也跟成熟的人谈论智慧，不过并非这个世代的智慧，也不是那些在世上当权、将来要衰亡之人的智慧。 7 我们所讲的是上帝隐藏在奥秘中的智慧，是祂为了使我们得荣耀而在万世以前定好的智慧。 8 只可惜世上当权的人没有一个明白这智慧。他们要是明白，就不会把荣耀的主钉在十字架上了。 9 正如圣经上说：
“上帝为爱祂的人所预备的，
是眼睛未曾见过，
耳朵未曾听闻，
人心也未曾想到的。”
10 然而，上帝借着圣灵将这一切启示给我们，因为圣灵洞悉万事，连上帝深奥的事都了如指掌。

6 我们向成熟的人传授智慧，这智慧不是这个世界的智慧，也不是世上正在没落的统治者的智慧。 7 我们宣讲的是上帝的秘密智慧，是那一直隐藏着、但是上帝在创世之前就为我们的荣耀预定好了的智慧。 8 世上的统治者中没有一个人懂得这智慧。假如他们懂得，他们就不会把荣耀的主钉死在十字架上了。 9 正如《经》上所说的那样：
“上帝为爱他的那些人所准备的：
眼睛没有看见过，
耳朵没有听说过，
也不曾有人想到过。” (A)
10 但是上帝通过圣灵把它启示给我们。圣灵无所不知，它甚至知道上帝的深奥的秘密。

God's Wisdom
6 Yet I do proclaim a message of wisdom to those who are spiritually mature. But it is not the wisdom that belongs to this world or to the powers that rule this world—powers that are losing their power. 7 The wisdom I proclaim is God's secret wisdom, which is hidden from human beings, but which he had already chosen for our glory even before the world was made. 8 (A)None of the rulers of this world knew this wisdom. If they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 (B)However, as the scripture says,
“What no one ever saw or heard,
what no one ever thought could happen,
is the very thing God prepared for those who love him.”
10 But[a] it was to us that God made known his secret by means of his Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, even the hidden depths of God's purposes.
