21 上帝运用自己的智慧不让世人凭自己的智慧去认识祂,祂乐意采用世人看为愚昧的道理去拯救那些相信的人,这就是上帝的智慧。

22 犹太人要看神迹,希腊人寻求智慧, 23 但我们传讲被钉十字架的基督。这对犹太人来说是绊脚石,对外族人来说是愚昧的。 24 但对于蒙召的人,无论是犹太人还是希腊人,基督是上帝的能力、上帝的智慧。 25 因为上帝的“愚昧”也胜过世人的智慧,上帝的“软弱”也胜过世人的刚强。

21 For since in the wisdom of God the world(A) through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save(B) those who believe.(C) 22 Jews demand signs(D) and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified:(E) a stumbling block(F) to Jews and foolishness(G) to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called,(H) both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God(I) and the wisdom of God.(J) 25 For the foolishness(K) of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness(L) of God is stronger than human strength.

21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
